How to use: Steep chamomile in hot boiled water for 10 minutes, 1 tsp per cup for relaxation, longer for digestive upsets. Makes a pleasant, calming tea. Dried chamomile flowers can be used to make herbal baths, sleep pillows and poultices. Simply add a small handful to bath while it is filling. Wrap steeped chamomile flowers in a muslin bag and apply to head for headaches, and ears for earaches.

Chamomile tea is a slightly bitter, with the essence of apples. It has long been hailed for its all-round effectiveness for a plethora of issues. It is a mild and gentle herb that has anti-inflammatory properties, making it excellent for the skin. It contains spiroether, which is a very strong antispasmodic agent that can reduce pains and cramps. Due to its gentleness, chamomile tea is great for calming children and easing colds and flu. It can be taken internally and applied externally. It makes a great douche formula for sitz baths to treat candida yeast infections. As a relaxation herb, it calms the body and eases anxiety and depression. An excellent, soothing herb that is essential for every herbal medicine chest.
